How scoring works

Answer score (0–100)

Each answer is scored on:

• Mentioned — whether your brand appears at all (the biggest factor).
• Position — how early and how prominently you appear; first recommendation scores highest.
• Sentiment — positive framing scores higher.
• Citations — linking to your site adds to the score.

A prompt’s score is the average across the engines that answered it.

Mention rate

The share of answers in the period that mention your brand.

Surface index

A combined visibility score across engines and prompts, weighted toward recent results and prompt priority.

Why scores move

AI answers vary from day to day even for the same question. Look at trends over weeks rather than single crawls, and at whether changes are consistent across engines.
