Citations
Engines often support their answers with sources. Being cited — or being mentioned on pages that are cited — is one of the strongest ways to show up.
What you’ll see
- Citation rate — the share of answers that cite your website.
- By engine — how often each engine cites you.
- Content types — what kinds of pages get cited (articles, lists, reviews, directories, forums).
- Most-cited domains — the sites engines rely on most for your prompts.
- Your pages — your URLs that were cited, and how often.
- Recent citations — the latest cited sources with the prompt and engine.
Using it
If a third-party site (a “best of” list, a directory, Reddit) is cited often for your prompts and doesn’t mention you, getting featured there can lift your visibility across engines. Listening helps you find and join those conversations.
